My name is Scott Duncan, and I am blessed and honored to be the new principal of Fredericksburg Elementary School. I spent the last six years as an elementary principal in Humble ISD, and have 13 years of experience in elementary school administration. Next year will be my 23rd year in Texas public schools, and it is my privilege to join the Battlin’ Billie families and community of Fredericksburg ISD! I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning and growing with our students and working with our professional staff, parents, and community members.

My wife, Jennifer, is excited about joining the staff of Fredericksburg Primary School as an instructional coach. Our daughter, Madeline, will be a sophomore at UT in Austin next year, and is pursuing a degree in journalism. Our 12-year-old son, Max, is very excited about the move to central Texas and exploring new rivers and lakes. In fact, he’s already caught a couple of fish in the area! I enjoy all things outdoors: golf, biking, birding, and gardening.

Again, I am truly honored and blessed to be part of this community and for the opportunity to help lead FES to new heights. I look forward to meeting with our students and families as we begin the 2022-23 school year.
