Hallo! Sorry, that's all the German I know. My name is Frank de la Torre.  I am thrilled to be teaching third grade Dual Language at Fredericksburg Elementary School and to be part of such a warm and dynamic community. Fredericksburg Elementary School is a wonderful place to teach and learn.  I feel lucky to be in this profession doing what I love with such amazing students and teachers. This will be my 20th year in education and I've taught all subjects from 2nd through 4th grade. This year I will be teaching Math, Science, and Social studies. 

I grew up in Fredericksburg and graduated from FHS. After graduating, I attended SWT and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree and received my teaching certification in Bilingual Education. 
Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, tailgating at BOBCAT football games and spending time with my two boys, family and friends.

Teaching bilingual children is my passion. I strive to create a caring, safe, and engaging learning environment, which encourages students to believe in themselves and to do their personal best.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Frank de la Torre. Estoy emocionado de estar enseñando Lenguaje Dual de tercer grado en la Escuela Primaria Fredericksburg y ser parte de una comunidad tan cálida y dinámica. La Escuela Primaria Fredericksburg es un lugar maravilloso para enseñar y aprender, y me siento afortunado de estar en esta profesión haciendo lo que amo con estudiantes y maestros tan increíbles. Este será mi vigésimo año en educación.  He enseñado todas las materias desde el segundo al cuarto grado. Este año estaré enseñando matemáticas, ciencias y estudios sociales.

Fui criado en Fredericksburg y me gradué de FHS. Después de graduarme, asistí a SWT y obtuve una licenciatura en artes y recibí mi certificación de enseñanza en Educación Bilingüe.
Fuera de la enseñanza, disfruto viajar, participar en los partidos de fútbol americano de BOBCAT y pasar tiempo con mis dos hijos, mi familia y mis amigos.

Enseñar a niños bilingües es mi pasión. Me esfuerzo por crear un ambiente de aprendizaje afectuoso, seguro y atractivo, que anima a los estudiantes a creer en sí mismos y a hacer lo mejor que pueden.
