My name is Leanne Halford and this is my 28th year teaching special education.  This is my 15th year at Fredericksburg Elementary.  I grew up in Clear Lake (south of Houston), Texas.  I graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1985 and I graduated from University of Houston - Clear Lake in May of 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  I started teaching in the Clear Creek ISD school district in August of 1994.  I taught there for 5 years before getting married in 1999.  After getting married, I taught in Winters ISD for one year.  In 2000, we moved to Ulysses, Kansas.  I taught in Kansas for 2 years and then we moved back to Texas (Fredericksburg) in 2002.  We were SO excited to be back in Texas!!!  From 2002 - 2007, I taught at Ingram Elementary in Ingram, Texas.  In 2007, I was fortunate to get a teaching job at Fredericksburg Elementary and have LOVED being here!!!  I have always taught in special education and I can't imagine doing anything different!!

I have been married for 22 years and I have 3 children.  My oldest daughter is 28 years old and is married and living in Needville, Texas.  My middle daughter is 21 years old and she is attending her fourth year of college at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.  My youngest son is 17 years old and is a senior at Fredericksburg High School.  My family is my world!!!
