Welcome to First Grade!  I've been teaching K-1-2 for over 40 years, and I must admit that First Grade is the best.  My B.S. is in Vocational Homemaking but I've never taught it because I fell in love with the little ones.  With so many child development hours, it was possible to add a Kindergarten Endorsement to my B.S. and that's what I did.  I began teaching Kindergarten in Kerrville and then moved to FISD and taught at the Primary School for 14 years.  During those years I earned my Master's in Elementary Education so I could teach First Grade.  I spent one year in Fourth Grade - the first year the Elementary School was open.  Then I taught First Grade at Heritage School for 19 years.  I've been back at the Primary School ever since, and I am blessed to still be teaching children to read and write.  It has been fun to see so many of my old students and especially fun when I've had their children in class.  

I have been married to my junior high school sweetheart Barry for 40+ years and we have three children and five grandchildren.  I enjoy gardening and quilting when I have time.
