Degrees and Certifications:
B.A. Secondary Education with emphases in Spanish and ESL
Mrs. White, Emily
Hello! My name is Emily White, and I am a teacher at Fredericksburg Middle School. I graduated from Idaho State University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education with Spanish and English as a Second Language (ESL) as my teaching emphases. My internships included teaching Spanish I and II at Highland High School and an accelerated Spanish 1 course at Idaho State University, both in Pocatello, Idaho. I taught ESL for the Pocatello-Chubbuck School District in Idaho after graduation, working with students with a variety of language backgrounds and ages ranging from first through twelfth grades.
In 2010 I started to explore other areas of education. I worked with families at Head Start, directed ministries for children at church, and edited a university catalog. After 10 years, I returned to teaching in the public schools, but this time, at my alma mater, Fredericksburg High School, where I helped ESL students with content areas like algebra, history, and science.
This year I transitioned to the Fredericksburg Middle School, where I am teaching Spanish I, Principles of Human Services, and a section of WIN (What I Need).
