• FISD 2022 Bond Proposal

    No Anticipated Change to the District Tax Rate 

    The FISD Bond proposition will appear on the ballot as a single proposition (Proposition A) for $82 million. 

    Taxpayers should not anticipate an increase in the FISD tax rate if the proposition is approved. 

     

    Proposition A, $82 million

    New Middle School & Capital Improvements 

    • Construction of a new Fredericksburg Middle School
      The new FMS will be located at the intersection of Hollmig and Friendship Lane. FISD administration and middle school staff have collaborated with Huckabee architects on the design over the last several months, as seen below.

     

    • Career and Technical Education (CTE) Phase 1 Addition and Renovation at FHS
      FISD administration has also collaborated with CTE educators and Huckabee to design a new CTE to include space  for Construction Trades, Ag and Welding, and Autotech courses. This addition will affect all CTE students by providing adequate space for the most long-standing programs, which will free up existing space for new programs in the future.


    • Transportation additions and replacements
    • Technology infrastructure and improvements
    • Safety and security upgrades
    • Softball & baseball dressing rooms addition at Fredericksburg High School
    • Inclusive playground additions at Fredericksburg Primary School, Fredericksburg Elementary School, and Stonewall Elementary School
    • Outdoor Playground restrooms at Fredericksburg Primary School
    • Gym upgrades at Stonewall Elementary School 

     

    The 2022 Bond proposal will affect every campus in FISD and will eliminate the use of portables in the district.
