Mrs. Rosella Castilla
Dear FES Family,
My name is Rosella Castilla. I am so excited to work alongside Mrs. Hohn as a school counselor. FES is a great campus to be in! This 2021-22 school year will be my 15th year in Education. My journey began as an Instructional Assistant, and then as a Bilingual Teacher and now as one of your Caring Counselors. This will be my sixth year here at FES and a place I consider my second home! My belief is that every child is unique and each one possesses qualities and strengths to finding solutions, be high academic achievers and most importantly become resilient citizens that our world needs. My goal is to deliver a comprehensive guidance program that will allow each child to tap into their inner hero and be greathearted leaders of our community. I feel honored to be our student’s advocate, it reminds me of what Rita Pierson once said, “every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists they become the best they possibly can be.” A special thanks to Dr. Elizabeth Kjellstrand Hartwig for writing an amazing book on Solution Focused Brief Therapy, an approach that will be implemented throughout many years to come. Go Billie’s!
